The Black Entertainment Economic Council (BEEC) is a dynamic non-profit organization committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the entertainment industry.

Our mission is to increase representation and opportunities for Black professionals and businesses in the Film, Television, Gaming, and Digital Production industries, both in front of and behind the camera.

Workforce Development

One of our key operational priorities is workforce development. In this area, the main objective is to facilitate targeted career and professional development opportunities, that address dominant work-related needs across every aspect of the industry, and at every stage of knowledge and experience.

This series of workshops is designed for early to mid-career professionals looking to build their working knowledge. Well-experienced professionals across the wide spectrum of the industry may also find value in building their overall knowledge of the filmmaking process.

All workshops are held on the third Saturday of each month from 10 AM - 2 PM unless otherwise noted. A complete list of this year's schedule of workshops is listed below:
