The Black Entertainment Economic Council invites you to attend our monthly workshop on Talent Management. This transformative experience is designed to illuminate the crucial role of talent management in building a highly successful entertainment career.

The free workshop will be led by Independent Talent Management (IAM) partner Rashidi Hendrix, who will provide insights on overcoming barriers and making a significant impact throughout your creative career.

Meet The Instructor
Rashidi Hendrix is a dynamic talent manager and esteemed partner at Independent Artists Media (IAM), where he spearheads a diverse and accomplished roster of television and feature writer-director clients. With a keen eye for emerging talent and a knack for cultivating successful careers, Hendrix has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectories of creatives in the entertainment industry.

Among the luminaries on IAM's roster are established and rising stars such as Ron McCants (known for his work on Cross and Chicago Fire), Christopher Moore (director of End of the Road), Kiki McKnight (creator of Bad Dad Rehab), Angele Cooper (writer of Dating Covid), Chris Thompson (contributor to Full Frontal with Samantha Bee), Naren Henry (notable for Red Thread and winner of the MGM/Black List writer competition), Tonia Ransom (horror podcast creator turned writer of Nightlight), Colin Costello (award-winning director of Storage), Reagan Gomez (director on Queen Sugar), and the multi-talented actor/comedian Eva Evans.

A proud graduate of Florida A&M University, Hendrix is not only a powerhouse in talent management but also a fervent advocate for diversity and inclusion within the entertainment landscape. His commitment to fostering change is evident through his involvement in key industry initiatives. Hendrix serves on the federally appointed Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment, as well as the Committee for Inclusion and Equity for the Writer’s Guild of America – East (WGAE). Through these roles, he strives to amplify underrepresented voices and pave the way for a more inclusive future in the world of entertainment.

Mr. Hendrix also serves on the board of directors for the Black Entertainment Economic Council
