Director’s Statement
When writing and directing this film, I wanted to write a script that would show the untold side of a mentally ill individual. Too often we come in contact with people, yet we never know their struggle or story. I wanted to give a voice to those people in hope that people would see that mental illness is real, and just has we seek help for our spiritual and physical health, there are many individuals going untreated with mental disorders.

In our African American communities we have been taught that we don’t need counseling or therapy, so this film just shows the what if. It took some hard work to get it done, but we managed to pull it together by God’s Grace. I couldn’t have asked for a better cast, their performances were mind blowing.

Writer / Director Dreka Shevon will speak after the screening.
